day in your life ... Laura Evans ...

After a wonderful week of sneak peeks into the life of some of the fpoe members you now get my day ... Monday July 15th with me Laura Evans & well Jacob (aka the munchkin). Thank you to all the ladies who took part, it was so fun to see your homes & work & the rest. Please take a moment to check the previous posts & hunt down these lovely ladies on etsy (links in every post). & you can find me over on Facebook (here) & on etsy (here & here). Have a wonderful day & hopefully we will be back later in August for some more "day in your life fun". xx

So for the record i shot everything with my Lensbaby & sweet 35 (i am working hard on using it & learning it) & edited everything "the same" ... for me this exercise is about getting out of my comfort zone.

Anyways my day typically starts with light streaming in through the windows (this is england & the sun rises about 0515 at the moment) usually followed by little pitter patter of feet & a "gentle" scream ...

... & then breakfast ... which Jacob is kind enough to share!

It's then off to base for me to get my work out in ... I have to say this is pretty much my day 6 days a week so nothing unusual so far ...

... post workout we head home along pretty english country roads ... Jacob pointing our the airplanes for me ...

... & you may notice the lack of pants ... that's because someone poured water all down himself as we were leaving the gym so they were drying in the wind shield as we drove home!

Home via the grocery store means i have lots of options for lunch ... & a pile of laundry needs doing ... & Jaocb goes down for his nap ... *bliss*.

I spent Jacob's nap time enjoying some lunch, watching the Tour de France & trying to relax a little & catch up on work. This time usually passes way too quickly & before i know it i hear noises & upstairs i go to this ...

... & because the weather has been so beautiful we head outside for some sun ...

Unfortunately the rest of the day didn't go so well ... Jacob decided he wanted "cookies" so preceeded to chant over & over & got gradually more mad that he wasn't getting cookies ...

... until this happened!

I do believe the husband returned home so i passed off the munchkin & enjoyed a little peace & quiet including opening a wonderful sweet gift from a friend (you know me too well).

& that is the "average" day in the life of me (& Jacob)! xx

day in your life ... Helen Makadia ...

Time for another "day in your life" ... after hanging out with Nastasia Cook, Diane Miller & Loni Philips these past few days now it's a change to spend a day with Helen Makadia & her beautiful daughter. Really i just think she used it as an excuse to photograph her munchkin (though honestly who needs an excuse) but well it was a wonderful excuse! & don't forget to check out more of her work on facebook & etsy & to come back tomorrow for possible the final day in your life of this month ... mine! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. xx

Mondays I spend with my almost 2 year old Sofia.  This particular monday was the beginning of what felt like a never ending heat wave.  After breakfast, we made our way over to our public library and picked out books to check out.  On our way home we stopped at Trader Joe's for a few things, and most importantly stickers.  After a quick lunch it was nap time for Sofia, so I was able to sit down at my desk and do some work for a few hours.  We weren't the only ones who were hot that day - our 15 year old cat, Ally, was as well.  Unfortunately, she couldn't join us at the pool to cool off.  Dinner was quick and we ended our day playing outside, in the sprinklers, until Daddy came home and took over for bath.  A successful monday.

day in your life ... Loni Phipps ...

Are you ready for another day in your life ... i love these little insights, the small things that show the world of others, like a sneak peak. There's something beautiful in the small moments that make up a day, the simple things we sometimes overlook but the impact they have on our lives. So without further ado i will hand you over to Loni, don't forget you can find her on etsy too. & that we will be back here tomorrow with someone elses day :) xx

5:20; time to get up and make hubby’s lunch. He’s on first shift, I work evenings. If I don’t get up, I don’t get to see him all week. He doesn’t get home before I leave and he has to be in bed before I get home :-(

Back to bed, wait for him to text me that he’s made it safely through the commute on bloody I-95.
Try to catch a few more winks.
Alarm goes off again at 8:00
A couple of snooze taps later, I’m up to start my day with super easy breakfast cookies hot out of the oven.

Our friend hasn’t been over lately and he has so missed her, lots of kisses.
More blues bottles from the gallery event on Friday to add to my collection.

I want to come back as a domestic cat in my next life please.
Eat and sleep for Miss Cally while I head out to the “day job”.   The back door opens and it’s time to unload a truck.

Back home, do a little editing and check the art fair schedules to see if there is anything new.
Can you tell that I like post-its?
Time for round one of my shift sleeping, g’night.

day in the life ... Diane K. Miller

So far we've checked a day in the life of Blaire Ring, Claire Carpenter & yesterday Nastasia Cook. It's fun to see what the lovely ladies of fPOE get up to when they are not your know producing stunning photography. & today is no exception in the talent department ... Diane Miller is the owner of two beautiful photography shops on etsy, The Shutterbug Eye & her new shop Dark Raven Photo. You can also find her on facebook. & be sure to stay tuned for tomorrow's installment. xx

Monday is a workday so I get out of bed really early and wake up with coffee while checking on my Etsy shop and Facebook.

I live in the suburbs and commute into Chicago everyday for my job as a compliance officer.  I take a train every day.  The top left you can see the train pulling into the station.  To the right is the outside of my building, the historic Civic Opera House and the bottom left is the view from my office window.

Here is my office.  I'm so grateful to have a private office.  Sadly I have no one to help me file and so it's all on my desk.

Once I'm home I made some dinner for me and my son, my husband was traveling and relax with some TV.  I have to always be on watch as with three cats, one is always trying to get my food or drink.

day in your life ... Nastasia Cook ...

So are you ready for another "day in the life" of ... well this is a little peak into the life of Nastasia Cook of Retro Love Photography. She is from Paris (big sigh) & lives in California (bigger sigh) & i am jealous (can you tell). Head on over to her facebook page for regular updates on her work & be sure to check out her stunning photography on etsy in both her photography shop & her IPhone case store. Also you can read all about her day in detail over on her blog. & be sure to return tomorrow for another action packed day in the life of an fpoer (yep new word). xx

This is actually a pretty untypical day for me, as my husband and I are currently staying at my parents in law’s house to house/dog sit while they are on vacation. Because of this, I am going back to our house during the day to work on Etsy orders. Due to the distance, my husband and I are also carpooling so there was a lot more driving around for me to do and less time at home for work!

I start my day by preparing breakfast and packing our lunches, my husband and I then drive to his work and I drive back to our house after dropping him off. This is where my usual routine starts. Every morning I work on my Etsy orders and make Iphone cases for myself and for my printing services. This usually takes all my mornings and sometimes afternoons on busy days. I then finish my routine by grabbing lunch, getting ready, watering my plants and dropping off my orders at the post office. Before I know it, it's already time for me to pick up my husband from work ...

I drop off my husband at a meeting and end up arriving way too early so we kill some time in the car with a game of candy crush. After arriving back at my parent's in law house, I am greeted by Cookie who had a long day all alone. I go take him for a walk at the park and then go to the beach. After a quick dinner and some more computer work, I catch up on some Game of Thrones reading while waiting for my husband who is getting a ride back home.

day in your life ... Claire Carpenter ...

Yesterday we got to spend a day with Blaire Ring ... so fun seeing what you ladies get up to ... & today we are spending the day with Claire Carpenter of Studio Claire (& you can check out more of her beautiful photography on etsy). & we will be back tomorrow with you know another "day in the life"! Have a wonderful day. xx

I try to keep Mondays nice and slow, for me and my two kiddos. So on this day, we stayed home most of the day: I baked our weekly bread, folded diapers, took my 18-month-old on and off the little potty at least 32 times, ate snacks on the fold-out sofa, brought in the newspaper, played in the tents, read books, and hid in the pillows before naps. And then Daddy got home and we ventured out to Subway for sandwiches and yogurt parfaits. It was a good day. A slow day. And a quiet night with a lovely moon.

a day in the life of Blaire Ring ...

Last week i went ahead & set a challenge ... to shoot a day in your life. On the outset it doesn't sound exciting ... i mean laundry, grocery shopping & a tantrum throwing toddler is your average day for me. But I wasn't the only participant & as the week goes on i will sharing with you everyone else's day in "their" life ... ending with my laundry, grocery's & said toddler.

So we begin the week with last Monday July 15th & the life of Blaire Ring of Second Ave Photography. Be sure to check out her work over on facebook & of course hunt her down on etsy & purchase some pretties for your home. & don't forget to stop back tomorrow for the next "day in your life". xx

Yesterday, I joined several other photogs for my very first "A Day in the Life project" and I was super excited about it. Having a 2 1/2 year old and a 4 week old, it's hard to tell where my nights end and days begin. So, I started my project after my cup of coffee and ended it with my oldest's bedtime. I decided to use Clickin Moms' collage template to limit myself to my 10 favorite photos. This forces me to leave out things like doing the dishes and the laundry, even though I'm sure you'd love to see shots of that (I insist I did actually do them!) I've been so exhausted that I haven't been picking up my camera much at all, and this project was a great way to get reacquainted. We will likely do this again next month and hopefully I'll have something a little more interesting to share with you instead of a lazy day at home!
