Weekend Links :: Many Moons Ago

Here are a few links for you lovelies on this Friday afternoon!

Here’s a great critique/post featuring one of our team members, Sonya Kanelstrand, over on the Eco Etsy Blog. Not only does it feature her beautiful photography, but it also shares some tips that could be helpful to all of us on running a successful Etsy Shop and some useful blogging tips.

by Sonya Kanelstrand

Whimsical art for children, gone fishing, surreal moon photography, fantasy art photo prints

On the topic of the moon, Yvette Inufio has taken some playful photgraphs as an homage to the movie Moonrise Kingdom, and posted them on her facebook page. Take a peek at the rest of the collection on her blog.

And if this inspires you to add to your own collection of vintage camera (or start one), Rachel (of Moonflowers) is selling some of her own little gems. Visit her blog or her Etsy Shop for more details.

Monday Night Montage [more than a little late]

so sorry,
finals have me by the throat...

I know I gushed about Yvette Inufio and Gabrielle Kai's work last week,
but I couldn't resist posting these darling cameras for this week's diptych pick
the forrest reflection in the lens, the breaking of the forth wall....

Here's looking at you-photographers, have a great week!
By the way, say hello to our new in our eyes collaboration.

Till next week,
i.heart.diptychs

ps: not in a diptych collaboration,
but have a great one you want to share?
Just comment below and let me know!

Monday Night Montage [elephant love]

Yvette Inufio - Gabrielle Kai

I am touched by the work and mood in Gabrielle Kai and Yvette Inufio's diptych this week. Perhaps its how my mother used to keep a jeweled elephant by my bedside every night, but I'm charmed by

the way the little trunks curl up to the sky
the symbolism of power, dignity, and strength,
the fun deliberate fairytale that can be found in the angle of these tiny statues

great work, ladies!!

till next week,

Monday Night Montage [ruby ruby ruby ruby!]

This week I'm attracted to Yvette Inufio & Gabrielle Kai's [gotta love those names!] photo montage

  1. how the colors of rustic red match up so well
  2. how it looks like these photographs could have been taken in the exact same spot
  3. how they are full of adorable mystery
their project is called
one inspiration, two perspectives
great work gals
.
this colorful gem also caught my eye
