The future is a funny thing, especially when looked back on from the present (think robot maids and colonies on Mars). And then when we look forward, and in the face of so much uncertainty, we can still find certainty in things like the endurance of children and light.

For  many of us, we're right in the middle of Fall and almost to the middle of the holiday shopping season. This middle always feels full to me, very full, in both beautiful and stressful ways. Let's focus on the beautiful for now :)

Patricia Coelho shared this quote along with her photo (the vintage trolley in the last 2x2 collage...scroll and scroll some more) and that phrase keeps returning to me..."chaser of emotion."

That chaser, that nostalgia is what brings a smile to my face and a sigh from lips as I look at these photos.
